Biography
Denis Pisarevskiy was born in 1993 in Moscow.
He graduated with honors from the Moscow State Conservatory as a composer (2016) and as an organist (2017). In 2019 he received the Master of Music degree at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Stuttgart and graduated from Konzertexamen postgraduate program in 2022 (class of Prof. Ludger Lohmann, organ). Since 2023 he has been studying at the University of Sacred Music in Tubingen.
He composed over 40 works in various genres from sole instrumental music to large symphonic works and opera. Winner of several Russian and international competitions for composers and organists. Furthermore, his musical career has been distinguished by prizes at organ competitions:
2014 – 1st prize at the Fifth Organ Music Festival-Competition “Gatchina-St. Petersburg” (Russia),
2019 – 1st prize at the Muse Competition (as organist), Athens (Greece)
2019 – 1st prize at the Second Shanghai Conservatory of Music (“SHCM”) International Organ Competition (Chine)
2020 – Organist of the Year Award in Russia
2021 – 1st prize and special prize of “Faszination Orgel” International Organ Competition at Max Reger Institute in Mannheim (Germany)
